The Livewell Group, a Dementia and Alzheimer’s care facility, is recruiting an Estate/Village Manager to manage the Bryanston Livewell Village.The nature and purpose of the role is to manage and ensure that Livewell residents receive the best dementia care, ensure their safety and security, nutrition and exercise daily for optimal quality of life, while running the facility effectively and efficiently, ensuring resident families stay informed and involved.As Village Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of all departments reporting directly to you, including Healthcare (Nursing and Quality of Life team), Facilities (Security, Maintenance, Kitchen and Hospitality), Interior and Development.You will be a member of the Employment Equity Committee and help ensure that employment equity goals are met and make necessary recommendations regarding recruitment, development and training. You will manage the Village Staff Organogram and provide feedback reports to the rest of Management and Remuneration Committee. Other Key Performance Areas include: Manage and ensure that all departments are functioning effectively with the necessary available resources;Establish, implement and manage the Village Strategic Goals;Manage the Village costs within budget while maintaining quality service at all times;Perform and sign off month end procedures, such as Petty cash reconciliation, confirm invoices to clients, arrange payment to suppliers, print and distribute pay slips;Manage the staff discipline in the Village and be a leader to the team at all times;Manage the internal and external risk areas and ensure compliance; including compliance of Occupational Health and Safety;Manage and ensure efficient and professional communication between Head Office and the Village;Manage communication between the Village and the families, including Village Newsletter, Family Committee Meetings and feedback);Manage, train and develop and evaluate the Village Supervisors, reporting to you, including regular performance appraisals;Ensure staff attends in-house training programmes and provide feedback to Management on staff training needs;Keeping abreast of the latest legislation changes to ensure compliancy in terms of Department of Social Development, Department of Health, and Health and Safety;Manage and oversee Livewell events. Qualification and Experience: Degree or Diploma;Minimum 5 year’s experience as Operations or Healthcare Management;Experience in the Healthcare Industry and knowledge of Dementia & Alzheimer care will be beneficial;Microsoft Excel, Office, Word and PowerPoint.
